Ford has always prided itself on building dependable vehicles which can help workers and families get the job done over the course of many years. That dedication to reliability was just validated by the J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study, which awarded the Ford F-150 and the Ford Mustang and placed Ford in a tie for third place among all automakers.
The annual study, which measures the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles over the first three years of ownership, found that the 2017 F-150 has proven the most dependable choice in the large light-duty pickup segment. Not only was the 2017 Ford Mustang the winner in the midsize sporty car segment, it was the only vehicle in its class to make the cut.
Ford also ranked high as a brand, finishing in the top 10 overall and performing better than the industry average of 134 problems per 100 vehicles.
“For us, high quality means more than a great experience in the first few months of ownership; it includes a great experience throughout a customer’s ownership journey, and these results affirm our commitment to building high-quality vehicles,” said Linda Cash, Ford vice president of Quality and New Model Launch Program.
The 2020 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability study doesn’t just back up the quality of today’s Ford vehicle, but also of the used and Certified Pre-Owned Ford cars and trucks you’ll find at La Grange Ford.
