According to registration information obtained aggregated by IHS Markit, a whopping 102,090 Ford Mustangs were sold across the globe in 2019. Many countries, including Germany, France, and Poland, saw double-digit (or more) percentage sales increases last year. The sixth-generation Ford Mustang has sold over 600,000 units in 146 countries since 2015.
The beloved pony car, which has been the best-selling sports car in America for half a century, now has twelve unique variants contributing to its global success. Notably, the high-performance Shelby GT500 and the upcoming Mustang Mach-E have helped to whet the global appetite for the Ford Mustang eveb further.
Ford Chief Operating Officer Jim Farley said of the news: “From Sweden to Shanghai, more and more driving enthusiasts are enjoying the feeling of freedom and the American open road in these new Mustangs.”
